If that’s true, he’s a huge loss for us. We simply have no one in our midfield that does the job Morsy does and to his level. Losing him, especially with whom we’ve got coming up, will be a huge blow.

While that's absolutely true, of the four games he missed through suspension, we won three and lost only one.

That’s also true, but I’d rather have Morsy playing in our midfield against Portsmouth, Plymouth and Oxford, these are huge games. The others just aren’t up to his level and it shows, we lack something in that engine room when he’s not available.

Having done both mine in the past 3 years, I instinctively thought that when he clutched his hip. They're so bloody temperamental when it comes to recuperation, but at least he'll get the kind of elite expert treatment that isn't available to us outside of pro sport.
