Rodgers sacked (n/t) on 17:39 - Apr 2 with 1283 views | MattinLondon | Even through he has had some success I’ve always thought of him as a pretty poor manager. He had to go as Leicester have been appallingly bad lately.

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Rodgers had come to Ton as Keane's assistant, which was what Roy wanted when Rodgers was sacked after a poor time as Reading manager.

Think they'll be aiming for higher than McKenna. If he has us in a simialr position in the Championship this time next year, then maybe. For now, I'm half expecting them to appoint someone like Pochettino.

Pochettino would be insane, I do think their owners will want someone with some pedigree, they probably look at themselves as someone able to push for Europe now and feel they should be attracting those kind of managers Rodgers isn't a bad manager by any means, probably 6th, 7th and 8th kind of manager, not top tier but fairly solid and capable He's kept Leicester fairly stable and competitive, the bubble has burst now but it probably was always going to at some stage

They've been poor this season no doubt but he's probably been partly a victim of his own success. He achieved back to back 5th place finishes, which is superb for a club like Leicester. They didn't back him in the last couple of windows and he was left with a squad that if you take it Maddison and Tielemens (who will be off in the summer) lacks any real quality. The Premier League is brutal and you can't stand still let alone go backwards. The likes of Brighton and Brentford have overtaken Leicester now. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It’s coincided with Vardy slowing down too. It’s the first time he hasn’t got at least 15 goals in 4-5 seasons. Rogers is a good manager, but you can only do so much when signings don’t live up to their predecessors.

Letting Schmeichal go was an odd decision too. They've got two numbers 2s, neither of which are good enough. He was also a big character in the dressing room I imagine. They've simply not evolved at all.
