Absolute delight watching town at moment. 17:15 - Apr 15 with 1505 views | FrimleyBlue | Yes well aware I had my fair share of thoughts only a couple months ago and yes I still stand by the thoughts as they were in the moment. But I'm delighted things have changed and that's all I ever wanted. Even last week's draw felt different as the confidence was there that we would get 3 points today. Did I see 6 goals... no. But I felt we'd yet 4. Lol. Absolutely wonderful watching town.

Some of your posts drive me mad but you obviously care. I'm not sure why you would stand by your previous thoughts though. I understand you are trying to say at the time they seemed right. But they weren't. Humility would be to say you got it wrong and in hindsight should have backed McKenna and to coin the in vogue phrase 'trusted the process'. All that being said everyone makes mistakes The main thing is Ipswich right now are a fantastic football club again!! In all facets right now.

Nothing like kicking someone back in the water, just when they're trying to climb out the lake. Humility is a two way street.. The main thing is Ipswich right now are a fantastic football club again!! In all facets right now.

Because despite people bringing up my comment made 18 months ago. Even during the blip I wasn't the one questionning KM individually, mine was more player performances as individuals esp certain players who imo at the time were not playing well. That's a personal view at a specific time. I may have been wrong. But that's for others to feel not me. That's why I stand by them. All the matters which I said at the time was that we all want to see success and we are seeing it. Hopefully we can end this campaign with promotion.

I didn't think I kicked him in the water. I said everyone makes mistakes and am genuinely glad he's enjoying it and writing positively. It's great to see. Wasn't my intention. Just the wedging in of the 'stand by my comments' but in an otherwise good post is mildly annoying 🤣 (nothing more than that for sure). And as I said, say what you like, I appreciate Frimley does care [Post edited 15 Apr 2023 18:28]

We can definitely agree on the last sentence bud! Soz if I was 'kicking you back in the water' but let's hope in 5 games that's all water under the bridge!

Absolute delight watching town at moment. on 19:06 - Apr 15 with 997 views | quad | For what it's worth I've always enjoyed reading your posts and opinions. It might make me unpopular with others on here, but I think that you've always said things as you see them at the time and welcomed a discussion about it, which is what a forum should be about. Far better than some posters who will bookmark things that they or others write from months back so that they can then bring it up when convenient to prove that they were right and you were wrong, which I find very tedious. I don't really understand why others find your posts annoying because they could just choose to ignore them if they were that bothered. Like you I was concerned when we had our blip in form and were drawing too many games. Nobody could have predicted the run of results and the form we have been in since Bristol Rovers away, not even McKenna himself. But like you I'm obviously delighted with the way things have panned out since. During the blip there were players whose form probably deserved to be questioned. I didn't agree with a lot of your thoughts, but I definitely agree that there were things which warranted discussion. I seem to remember Wolfy missing a couple of games and being replaced by Keogh. Doesn't seem to have done him much harm. I wouldn't have dropped any of the main team permanently, but I think that at the time discussions about whether certain players should be rested or dropped were merited. I would have rested Walton for a game or two after the Plymouth home game because I thought he was very shaky. I didn't agree with you that Burns should have been dropped for Edwards or Aluko and that possibly Morsy could have benefitted from a rest here or there. But I could understand the reasons why you or others may have felt that way at the time. So I think you are right to stand by the thoughts you shared. We can all be experts in hindsight. Maybe you were a touch too negative at times though.

It wasn't so much the opinions it was taking over every thread and repeating the same stuff again and again that did my head in. Anyway moving forward what a great performance. Roll on Tuesday.
Absolute delight watching town at moment. on 19:24 - Apr 15 with 923 views | clive_baker | They were nonsense opinions then and still are now IMO. The narrative was dictated by a handful of results and not the bigger picture, progress we were making or dominance in a number of those games. We’ve consistently been front runners in just about ever my metric, sometimes it doesn’t translate to wins, that’s football. Still not much point going over old ground and I make you right with your comment about watching us. Fans should really enjoy what we’re seeing. 25 home goals without reply, 28 points from the last 30. Slapping half decent opposition at a canter 4-0, 6-0 etc. I genuinely don’t think there are many sides at the level above us that would dispatch the opposition with the ease we have of late. I’m curious as to where our ceiling is as we just get better and better in our patterns, dominance, performances with every month that passes. We’re the best team in this division and we’re on our way to a promotion this season and group deserves. Drink it in.
