Exactly the same approach as we’ve taken really since the Bolton match in big away games and I think we will come out ok.
Yesterday’s result was astonishing. Despite Darren Ferguson’s whinging and a few chances for Peterborough, we had too much for them. Brilliant result, performance and support - the latter can only help and will again on Tuesday.
Before yesterday a fellow poster suggested two points from Peterborough and Barnsley would be sufficient to put us in the box seat. I got the maths, given the goal difference, but being a greedy b’stard I’d love us to go to the last game not needing a result other than to pinch the trophy maybe.

We were excellent yesterday but the schedule has been grueling and we got kicked all over the place yesterday. Would be skeptical we can go there with such a short turnaround and play with same intensity as Bolton, derby and yesterday.

Agree - my concern is that there must be a few knocks from yesterday and recent schedule, so we’ll have to shuffle the pack a bit you’d think? And the drop off in quality in certain positions is massive.

We definitely go all out for the win, as do Barnsley.
However, a point would not be the worst consolation prize - given the goal difference position, we need five points. A draw v Barnsley would mean that we need a win and a draw if Wednesday win both their games. A loss v Barnsley would mean we need to win both of our last two, if Wednesday win both their games. So that point could make all the difference. Beat Exeter at home, and then we'd only need a point at Fleetwood. Far more comfortable than going to Fleetwood needing three points.
I repeat though, we must go all out to win the Barnsley game. It would be madness to change our approach at this stage. We haven't lost against a 'footballing' side in the league for a lonnnng time, home or away. Not since the Plymouth away game I reckon. And Plymouth's home form at that time was unreal. Barnsley will need to play like a title-winning side to beat us. Good luck to them. |  | | |

I think there are probably several players on both sides who won't be operating at 100% fitness. We just need to keep momentum now.
We really do not want to lose at Barnsley. It would mean we had to win our last two games to guarantee promotion. A point there gives us the scope to draw one of the other two remaining games. A win knocks the stuffing out of Wednesday and probably makes the other two games almost irrelevant. [Post edited 23 Apr 2023 8:52]

I thought some of our players were looking quite leg weary half way through that 2nd half yesterday. As long as we keep winning ( a big ask imo ), they won’t notice the tired legs so much. |  |

We now have to play them just 2 days (3 if you count the actual match day) after a gruelling game vs Posh. Our players will have had minimal time to recover physically, and also have to travel. This game is massive, and we’ve not given ourselves the best preparation time against arguably the strongest team in the division have we. | |

The alternate was to go to Oakwell without Broadhead or Burns. Though we would forced to do so, had Jamaica not mucked everyone around. | |
