Hladky and JD get yellow cards for taking 5 seconds to take a free kick, while Stoke players foul, hack and do multiple body checks to stop us on the counter and ref does nothing.

It was ridiculous. I think they took longer over some set plays than JD and Hladky took over the ones they got booked for as well.

Have no issue with Hladky and JD bookings, Hladky especially deserved it as he knew what he was doing and pushed it too far. We’ve spent 2-3 years moaning about teams time wasting against us so can’t moan now they’re doing something about it. Thought Donaciens was slightly harsher as he tends to take that long on a throw in even when we’re losing.

Supposedly refs are going to be more lenient this year with fouls and bookings for genuine mistimed tackles but thought he got a few of them wrong today.

We had 2 bookings for time wasting and yet he only adds on 4 minutes. Makes little sense to me.

It amused me that after Donacien got booked Morsy spoke to the ref (I assume it was about the lack of bookings for fouls) and seemed to decide he had a free hit. Then almost immediately used it.

I know he later got booked but that was so blatant he almost certainly would have got booked anyway.
