We've never lost 2 league matches on the spin, under KM?
We certainly didn't for the entirety of last season. And we obviously haven't this season, so far....
I'm wondering if we may have done so, at the end of KM's half season in charge, when he first joined us, and there were one or two dead rubbers where we shuffled the pack a bit, having already missed out on the L1 play offs.. All I remember from the end of that season was the 4-0 at home, last game of the season against Charlton .
Anyway, what I'm getting at, is that we just don't lose many on the bounce. Our, so called blip last season was mainly draws. And with a massively depleted MF.. Most times we've lost a game under KM, and bounced straight back with a good performance..
Keep hearing other teams fans saying "everyone has a blip, and you'll have yours".. That maybe true, of course.. But I just can't see us going into absolute freefall with our current set up.. There's a real steeliness about this group. We've seen it in matches where we've come from behind against decent opposition.... For all the free flowing football and great goals we're seeing this season. I think that that steeliness, will be a major factor, as to where we end up, cpome April/May..

So funny and desperate innit. Totally vacuous, cos literally every team ever of all abilities have "blips". Man City anyone?

More oppo fans praising Town than the usual bitter and bile driven ubiquitous and clueless observations.

Key for Town over next few months, IF we can keep this form going, is to remain humble... as fans as much as the team.

Yep, not had 2 consecutive league defeats since he joined.

Our 2023 form is absolutely filthy, 2 league defeats in 33 games this calendar year. 1 of which being a complete farce in the fog at Oxford which should've been called off at 1-1. The other the 3-4 home defeat to Leeds this season, against an £80m front 4.

P33, W23, D8, L2. 77 points from 99 available. 2.33 ppg in 2023 so far. Absolutely ridiculous.

The only double loss I can see on the data Gav posted, was Lincoln at home followed by Cambridge away(pizza cup), where Edwards got that harsh red.... But league wise, we've never lost 2 on the spin under KM. That's some record..

Those stuffed crust trophy games were glorified friendlies. I was glad we went out, I didn't want that anywhere near our honours board, and if we're to make our debut at the 'new' Wembley I would rather it was for something meaningful.

It is a crazy record. The best thing about it is not even the results, but the performances. You could make a strong case that the 3-4 home defeat to Leeds this season is the only game we've deserved to lose in 2023. Oxford was a circus, certainly a handful of our wins could've been draws on another day, but equally a number of the 8 draws have seen us be the better side. The record doesn't even flatter us one bit.

November 2021 the last time this happened, away to Sunderland and at home to Rotherham. Cook only had one more league game after this.

Upon researching this, unless i've missed something it looks like McKenna has never had a league crowd below 20,000. Remarkable progress from where we were a few years prior!

Roy Keane managed to have us go over a year without back-to-back defeats too; although he used to do it by playing 4 centre backs and 4 centre-mids in any match following a defeat.

That Bolton defeat is the only match we've lost by more than one goal.
