Miss Slave has a magic firestick...pretty much everything is available! Edit..."One Life" sounds a good shout! We watched "On our Doorstep" last night via an app called Curzon. A documentary about the Calais Jungle which also brought on a few tears. [Post edited 21 Jan 2024 20:25]

We're just back from seeing One Life. Very moving story. Random fact - Johnny Flynn, who plays the young Nicholas Winton, wrote the song for Dectorists.

So all of those 3 are highly watchable. Brilliant stories, brilliant acting.

Film recommendations... on 21:06 - Jan 21 with 985 views | ArnoldMoorhen | Brian and Charles is absolutely batsht crazy and has a slightly lame climax. But it is funny and full of heart and is probably the most original film you will see. As long as you can suspend disbelief and open your mind to the world of a child like naive genius then it is very well worth watching. David Earl has been developing the Brian Gittins character for years (the original stand up iteration of the character "heavily influenced" Dan Renton Skinner's Angelos Epithemiou pre-Shooting Stars to give a picture of how long! but the two have since made up and work together now). He features in Ricky Gervais' After Life. You won't see a comedy character with a fuller back story or better able to express pathos.
