Whos our Richard Naylor upfront? on 09:38 - Aug 31 with 467 views | HighgateBlue | It would be very nice if O'Shea and Greaves could manage 3 or 4 each. Woolfie's never got more than 2. I don't think Clarke will play enough minutes to better the 4 he scored across two different Scottish loans in 2021/22. Johnson has never scored more than once in a season and Axel has no league goals at all. Naylor played for a decade and a half for various teams in various positions and played in all 4 tiers of league football. He never got 10 goals in a season (even counting all competitions). His highest in a /top flight/ season was 2. If you mean 10 league goals (and we're already out of one competition anyway), there were only 30 players who managed that in the Premier League last season. None of them was a defender. Man Utd's top scorer got 10 goals. I think SS will get into double figures. We have another couple of players that have a shout at doing it, and obviously I hope they do. As has been pointed out a lot recently, our goals come from many sources. That being the case, I wouldn't put any money on any of our other players getting 10, and certainly not a defender. | | | |
