I'll say one thing about this club now 19:14 - Dec 8 with 2613 viewsCheltenham_Blue

None of the players we signed will have been signed with any thought other than keeping them together if we go back to the Champ. We won't have been short termist in our approach.

We might lose one or two if big offers come in, but we'll be under no pressure to sell any of our players.

The one that'll hurt if we don't stay up is losing Cajuste, he looks ready to step in for Morsy.

With Morsy and Luongo a year older, plus Cajuste and Phillips going if we go down, I think we'll be re-building central midfield if we go down.

For me he's actually out best/most influential player, from what we've seen.

Would he have to go? If he wanted to stay surely it could be worked out.

That's the area of the field which concerns me

Obviously we will have Humphreys back and Taylor will have a big job to step up, we'll need to find a really quality player to come in though and shore us up in there

One, two or all three of Davis, Delap and Hutch probably go, that's going to yield good money where we can get some decent reinforcements in

McKenna may also leave so I hope we have some sort of succession plan in place with a manager with a similar philosophy, someone like Rosenior or a European manager with a bit of pedigree

We'll be competitive again, no doubts about it, hopefully we are right up there again, in the mix and able to bounce back within that parachute payment period

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

It’s very rare a footballer doesn’t follow the money. Look at Hladky for example. He turned down at least one season in the PL for some extra cash.

I'd be busting a gut to keep Cajuste if we go down. Taylor is getting valuable game time, too. But Morsy/Luongo won't last much longer. We need a quality CDM too.

We really do, we have to get that area right in the summer, no question about it

Phillips will probably join Leeds next season if we go down, whether that's in the PL or the Championship

Let's not get ahead of ourselves: for the majority of players this will be their ONLY chance in the Prem. They need to keep going. Forget about doing it for the fans, Town or county. They need to stick together more than ever now. The "culture" that is talked about is going to be tested in these tough times.
Do it for each other, boys.

If McKenna goes, we have to push the boat out to get Danny Rohl.

If “all 3 go” and we go down there must be some poor players in our squad. The 3 you mention are good and will be even better but if they are that good this season to attract attention we shouldn’t go down

We should in theory be stronger but I think some big players will be missing if we do go down (or in any case).

Morsy will be 34 so a question mark. Can probably do one more season in champ.
Burns - will be into his 30s and his hamstrings a worry. Ogbene I think solves the issues to be fair hopefully
Phillips - gone.
Cajuste - gone
Luongo - as above with Morsy really
Delap - would be gone
Hutchinson - would be gone
One of Greaves or O'Shea
Tuanzebe quit possibly (in last year).

I think this Jan window is important for whichever league we are in next year.

Poll: Who do we think McKenna (not you) will partner Greaves with ?
