I'm sure he knew that before he moved. Most top PL / CL teams have 3 or 4+ top strikers.
But we should be looking at some of the Chelsea strikers who will now find themselves so far down the list they aren't even going to get on the subs bench

We saw for ourselves he was far from the finished article with us last season. Delap has still got plenty to learn and improve, but he’s got a lot of potential. The move to Chelsea will undoubtedly help him by developing his game by being around better players on a daily basis, but I would be hugely surprised if Chelsea see him as their starting number 9 come August.

He’ll get plenty of game time, plus he’s still only 22 so plenty of time to push on to be first choice.
