Everton bid for KDH 12:05 - Aug 4 with 3551 viewsnrb1985

According to well informed Chelsea journos, Everton have made a permanent bid to sign Dewsbury Hall.

Plays same position as HH, so perhaps unlikely they’d bid for him too at this stage.

Increasingly feels like by end of window his choice will be us or stay at Boro. While he may prefer the latter, assume Boro will want him gone.

Kick and rush football with Rob Edwards for a year and further distance himself away from a Prem move.

If he's still not signed for a Prem club by the last week in August, I suspect we go back for him and he joins - we quite literally rolled the red carpet out for him.

maybe with a lower offer? Either in fee or wages, it will serve them right.

Wonder if it comes down to that, if our start together season might have any sort of impact on his decision? Our first four games before the window closes aren’t the easiest!

Also, not that I've heard them mentioned re HH yet, but now looks like Les Ugochuwu is about to sign for Burnley on a permanent deal.

Certainly looks like that for now. Although, if Everton don't get KDH then you'd think HH would be somebody they'd surely consider?

I am not sure whether he will come now.

I always think about it if it was me at Ipswich. Being a town fan, and being that highly regarded, I would only ever leave Ipswich for an amazing offer, a sideways step (albeit to one of the more favourites for promotion) wouldn't be enough for me to leave my boyhood club. It would be Premier League, and even then it would have to be the right club.

If it gets to the end of the window, surely boro can't do anything with the money and will be asking an even greater price?

Omari’s (agent) going to get twitchier if £35-40m is agreed for Dibling.

I don't have many 'ins' at Clubs. In fact I have two, one is at Boro. All through data and analytics, long story and won't bore you.

I posted the other day, the long and short of it is that Boro need the money from the HH deal to progress a number of transfers they have lined up themselves. They 'need' a deal for him to be done.

The Club were fuming that he knocked us back, I won't go into any more detail but this will rumble on.

Apparently the Club is livid that Hackney has turned down the move to PR.

Scuppers at least 2 or 3 transfers they had lined up.

This might rumble on....am told that he's been told to 'leave'.

It's an interesting situation. Oddly, the Agent could earn an awful lot more from Omari staying at Town.

If he has a decent first half of the season, an inflated offer would like arise during the winter transfer window. And if we have a very good season - then his value will sky rocket.

A move now, from the agents perspective, is actually not that smart.

I like it, but that’s pretty blue tinted.

He moves, has a decent/good season (like you say), and he could be going for double to a top 6 club next summer.

Staying at Town is very unlikely to increase his long term financial output. It clearly slows his ascent to the top.

It's not quite Blue tinted.

Brentford, new manager, quite a change and he's going in 'not' as a nailed on starter. It's certainly a team where he 'could' shine, no question. But he runs the risk of struggling and then getting limited match time and exposure.

Here's he's starting pretty much every game (at worst rotated) and given he's already delivered at this level, looked very good at the Euro's the % chance of success is far higher here both in the short and long term.

It was reported as more than double his current wages - I.e. from 15k to 35k. I’d be shocked if a PL team offered much more than that given he’s unproven at that level.

In fact given our strategy last season of buying the Championship’s elite players, only to finish with 4 wins I wonder if some PL clubs will take note and look abroad.

Football moves on fast. To name just one example - McKenna was a candidate for Chelsea and United this time last year. A year later, it’s only Brentford.

A £35m transfer to the Premier League is on the table. There’s no guarantee of that in 6 months - really 12 months, as no one is paying that in January. A good year in the Championship changes very little about opinion of him, or his value.

He’ll get a very good crack of the whip at Brentford, shelling out £40m, with a gap in their XI. He’s being signed to fill that gap, using funds created by it.

And remember, Omari (and agent) have Omari-tinted glasses on. This is an opportunity, not a risk.

That was my thoughts. Would give him confidence, or otherwise, on our promotion credentials.

Thought Joe made a good point on the BM pod last night.

If he comes to us on 35k a week and we don't get back up, then he becomes very pricey for a PL club to take next year. Plus the fact he'll be on a long contract as well so you'd think we'd want a good fee too.

If I look at it from his point of you, I can see why he'd prefer to stay where he is.
