And at least he's done it now and not on 21st August. He deserves a rest and some time to himself and with his family.

Call me a cynic but it’s the money that has blocked his Fulham move I suspect. A year out, no second relegation on his CV and a pick of jobs is a good outcome for him.

Cynic | |
| Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt |

Maybe, but its easy to become yesterday's man in a year. Also foregoing £5m in salary.

Appreciate this is unusual, but absolutely agree with you. Couldnt afford another failed experience in the Premier League, so leave on good terms and be ready for a crack in ''x" amount of months time. I can see it being as early as Nov/Dec when sacking season starts in the Premier League.

Yep, I'm thinking the same. Quite possibly he feels he does need a change which sometimes we all do in a job but, his wife and children sit right behind me and absolutely love and get into all the games and behave like proper fans so I'm not too convinced by the given reason. I've got to say I'm not really that surprised becuase in football terms , he's been here a long time.
