Shocked yesterday but not a total surprise 07:59 - Jun 11 with 208 viewskentishblue

This is a man whose attention to detail to the task from day one in 2021 is probably beyond anything we can comprehend. By all accounts he lived and breathed every aspect of the role. Yes he was well paid along the way , but he’s a human being , it takes its toll. He of course deserved the chance to leave on his terms. No need to look to deeply into it.

He has given memories that will last a lifetime, having become programmed to decades of football decline , these are memories I never believed I would have the privilege to live through.

Post QPR if I recall correctly his comments were all about needing a rest, for the first time I didn’t pick up on his first thoughts turning to planning for the next season. Something was different , it did seem as if the unrelenting effort had started to take its toll.

I will trust the club with the next appointment , if it was a quick and easy appointment (someone not in a job) you’d have thought yesterdays news would have been brought forward a little , so hope remains for perhaps a progressive continental choice- this being a chance for us to build on the blueprints of success that the likes of the Brightons , Bournemouths and Palaces have employed.

We await our next chapter with interest , but in the meantime just thank you Kieran , you’ve lived and breathed success and hope back into our club.
