Yes, I use to be on the news part but don't often post on there anymore. Did on this occasion and wish there was the edit button as my point has been completely misguided.

In all seriousness, the two areas of the site aren't mutually exclusive. Yes you seem to get a greater proportion of the intellectually challenged on the news comments, but there is also less general vendetta fuelled hatred and drama there. Plus it's a good yardstick for how the mob are thinking.
