Absolute pasting for adeyemi on 13:46 - Jul 27 with 4151 views | flimflam | Ah bless. Highly paid footballer being called out to do what he is paid for. It can go one of two ways so we either see a motivated player trying to prove the gaffer wrong or PH realises he aint got the minerals and moves him on.

Either going to unite the dressing room or ruin it. Hopefully the former. Players rule the roost this day and age

I take his comments more as setting targets for the players, and highlighing to fans that he has done so. Mick was seemingly a soft touch tot he players which must have been appealing, though you can't get better if you think your bad day was just that

Absolute pasting for adeyemi on 13:51 - Jul 27 with 4079 views | Marshalls_Mullet | Hes only said very honest and constructive things about Adeyemi. Those are two very good traits in a manager, and any pro that we have in our dressing room should welcome that. If not, then cheerio, not loss. Id rather have an honest manager than one who is scared of the players.

Mick kept everything in-house which is excellent management. Players won’t be thrilled with Hurst. Dream for the media but very naive.

Lol. How do you know the players wont be thrilled? You dont have a clue how they feel. I really dont think Hurst is being naive. I'm still not sure what Hurst has said thats wrong??

There is a very fine margin between making it as a professional footballer and not and it usually is not down to ability but mental strength which is what PH is looking for from Adeyemi. Just being a good player is not enough and you have to have rhino skin to deal with flak from various outlets - managers, fans, away fans, media etc.

Dont totally agree on this, for some things, yes, but Adeyemi has been a bit soft under MM, MM implied it, but never said it, PH has said it, so its take a dump or get off the pot time for TA. Either he wants to play football, and knuckles down, or he doesnt, and we move him on, either way, its not like its not been ongoing for a year now..... I think PH has done very well so far, a lot of it is setting his stall out, and thats good. We need them working harder and being better, or we will keep going backwards. I think PH will get more out of the players than MM did, a little bit of fear can be a good thing, it sharpens your mind on the task at hand....

I think that's why so few make it, ability it's there but it's the mental side players struggle with. Interestingly I was watching an interview with Federer recently and he said ability wise there really isn't much between the top 100 players, but there is big gap in the mental side which is why we have seen the same players over the years competing in the finals (Novak, Murray, Nadal and Fed)

Absolute pasting for adeyemi on 16:04 - Jul 27 with 3603 views | BlueBadger | Didn't Mick McCarthy used to do similarly 'brave' and 'no-nonsesense' things when talking about players he didn't fancy over much as well? I can remember him calling out both JET and Taylor, for example, in pressers.

I'm a fan of his record. I'm not a fan of his media handling. But we'll see. Like I've said, people will either buy into it - which is what we want - or it will be utter chaos behind the scenes.

Oh crikey moses, I LIKE HURST. I don't like his media handling. That is all! When he slates the next player, as he's clearly going to, I'll allow someone else to bring it up if they see fit. Personally a lot happier under any manager if they can keep everything inhouse. Really not difficult in my opinion. Need 5-6 transfers before Blackburn please :)

I think PH could have problems. Too out spoken and he loses the dressing room. Media will love it, not sure the players will.
