Given the stupidly late nature of the bid, you would assume it was someone attempting to replace though?
If Derby really wanted him they could have got him with the Vydra money on a permanent in the last few days? The loan with a permanent in Jan makes it seem like the club didn't have the funds to do a permanent deal then and there so wait until Jan?

If you google Marcus Maddison, the wikipedia entry under the goodle search results inserts 'selfish' into his middle name, though it doesn't then appear on the page itself.

It's classic Barry fry and mcanthony trying to drum up interest as they have an depreciating asset as think his contracts up at the end of the season. Shame really, he's got a quality left peg, but his justified reputation must be putting clubs off. Local fans hate his antics as much as the opposition, must be frustrating to watch in a match.
