Ladies football 16:17 - Oct 18 with 1856 views | FrimleyBlue | Hopefully no thread on this. Sorry if there is. When do you think we will start seeing the inclusion of female footballers in the premier League. They can't keep saying it's a man's league. That's sexist. Just like ladies football is sexist. So who do you think will be the first club to introduce a female player.

You say that. But lower leagues are in discussions about the boys and girls mixed groups increasing into 11 aside. Next step would be u18s. Reserves then full adults. I can see it happening if the feminists continue their strong agenda pushing.

Obviously non league to begin with proper grass roots level. But that would be a start

I can't see it in the professional game. You only have to look at men's and women's tennis to see the difference physical make up actually makes. The difference in the male and female body make this a common sense issue rather than a feminist issue. Obviously some will argue but can't imagine they'll be taken seriously. I might be wrong.

Then "Big" football clubs would have to pay attention... that's just in terms of ability... think about the marketing opportunities, and let's face it, money talks. I'll say in my lifetime we will see this development. As for first club to do so... Chelsea or Arsenal

Ridiculous trolling. There would clearly be no good reason in principle to disallow a woman from playing in a professional league, but very very few would have any prospect given the physical demands. Its a non point.

Why would they evolve in that way? [Post edited 18 Oct 2018 17:36]

Not only that but they wouldn't want to beyond the odd match here and there. Elite women players get a far better deal playing in the women's game than if they were going as far as they could in the men's game. They have professional coaches and facilities, pro contracts possibly, international tournaments ... what's the attraction of running out in the lower tiers of men's football?

Ladies football on 21:40 - Oct 18 with 1519 views | brazil1982 | I'd say within 20 years. I think the first introduction will be a headliner / almost a gimmick by a club in Italy. But generally I do think there will be a few women in mens teams in 20 years - lower leagues.

There might be mixed leagues. Say 6 women and 5 men. The goalkeeper has to be a woman for comedy value and all round entertainment. I ref Women's football the pace is so slow I sometimes lose concentration and make mistakes! Some really talented players though....
