There's a lot of money out there for tribute acts prepared to graft hard and, let's face it, there's not many Joy Division tributes out here so that's quite a good gap in the market they're filling. [Post edited 19 Oct 2018 14:08]

Editors tonight in Birmingham on 15:47 - Oct 19 with 2214 views | Sporall | Saw them last week in Southampton. On stage for 1hr 45. Pretty decent. Support band Talos not particularly worth going out of your way for other than to see a guitar being played on one track with a violin bow.

Yep, Ed, my brother knew him well from the Ipswich gig circuit back in the day. And my other tenuous connection to them is that all / some (I forget) went to the same uni as me. Albeit at a different campus, in a different town and not at the same time I was a student.

No... he played in a couple of bands in the Ipswich area in the mid / late 90s, but then moved to London and became a lighting engineer and toured extensively with a number of different bands. Moved back to Ipswich about 5/6 years ago, but carried on working until he became ill. In the early days in the 90s, he was very much a regular face in the Spread Eagle where a lot of the music crowd drank.

Editors tonight in Birmingham on 15:26 - Oct 20 with 2033 views | DBaldy | Their first 2 albums were pretty good, but then they went all Depeche Mode on their 3rd album and I went off them, which was hastened by seeing them at the UEA where they were awful. Is their new stuff any good then?
