If we can't defend against players like Steve Morison or teams who play like Millwall did today, we won't be a very successful League One side.

I think you will be able to judge that better after Saturday. There are some good sides in League 1. Sheffield United and Blackburn were there last season.

Which might mean something if Lambert stays beyond May but otherwise counts for absolutely nothing.

Bishop makes such a difference, all our other midfielders are quite safe. If we can keep him fit he's a player Lambert will hang his hat on imo.

Season before in their case then?

Another way of looking at it is, there will be two other teams going down about 10 points better than us already and it is unheard of for all 3 relegated teams to bounce straight back up from relegation in nay of our leagues.

Except for last season, when all three clubs relegated from the Championship bounced back at the first attempt.

I hadn't spotted that.

On the current League 1 table, there is a fair chance none of last season's relegated 3 will.

Another perspective is that there's a pretty decent chance two of them will, Sunderland and Barnsley are currently third and fourth with games in hand on the top 2.

We will have a completely different side next season in League One.

At least ten of the current squad will be shipped out.

Preparation league one has started. Start integrating and the playing as many of the under 23 team into the first team as possible to get them up to standard of scrappy championship games.
