Home games will be the ones that keep us up or send us down. Im sure we will have this all season, winning a home game and all getting our hopes up, then losing away and then all losing our shi t.

Keep the faith.

We have 9 home games left, even if we win all 9, which ain't happening, it's going to be borderline whether we stay up on 45 points.

Agreed, to have any chance of staying up we would need to pick up some away points.

Unfortunately we don't even look like getting a point on the road ( let alone winning ), even against the most mediocre of opposition. I am dreading the derby.

We need at least 2 away wins in there or a win and 3 away draws , can’t see us winning all home games ... no way .

Sadly...you are wrong.

Winning just our home games wont be enough. Besides to win all our games requires somekund of form. Which we are distinctly lacking.

"keep us up or send us down"

Have a word with yourself, we're sunk already regardless of what goes on. Out of those must all win games we have : Derby, Stoke, Sheff Wed, Hull, Forest, Leeds. Could beat Reading and maybe a point against Birmingham.

We haven’t got the luxury of being in a position where we can write off half our remaining games.

Every defeat is another step to the inevitable relegation.

45 points should just about be enough to keep us up. That means we need 27 points. Here is how we could get them:

Villa A D (need to learn to keep a clean sheet against Abraham and co or score goals away)
Wed H W
Norwich A L (we aren't going to get anything there again I'm afraid)
Derby H W
Stoke H D
Wigan A W (massive game if we are picking points before then)
Reading H W (another massive game for us)
West Brom A L
Brizzle A L
Forest H D
Hull H W
Bolton A W (massive game again)
Brentford A D
Birmingham H D
Preston A W
Swansea H D
Sheff Utd A D
Leeds H thankfully done enough so don't have to get anything!

That takes some big games going our way and us not slipping up in any of the must win games. It's possible but highly unlikely.

We will lose 3 games for the rest of the season?

2 away wins = 6 points or 1 away win and 3 draws = 6 points ?????? Min away points needed IMHO .

Losing at Blackburn is no disgrace this season as only really good teams like Norwich win there. Unfortunately we are in the mire and need points whoever we play. The only good news is that 40 points might be enough this season so only 22 points needed from our last 18 games. That's 1.22 points per game against our current 0.64 so we only need to double our points haul per game every game to the end of the season. Hurrah!

Fair point.

As I said, it is unlikely and we need to improve dramatically.

Oh, and with a defeat against Leeds that would be 4 defeats in the last 18 matches. That's what we need the difference of having the new players in to make. I am not sure they will but who knows?

We need to score a goal first...…….

Away we have been awful. Apart from a fluke win at Swansea, we have had a couple of draws? Most games its Ipswich 0, so we have no chance of a win.

Have to start taking some risks in games but I feel we just don't have the players.

I agree. It does put huge pressure on us to win our home games though. If we lose vs Sheff Wed, that would be a terrible result.

We have little chance of staying up for the simple reason that the players aren't good enough.

Collins and JUdge are an improvement but the rest are not. I predict we will get 35 points.
