Referees - Leeds Ref 17:37 - Jan 19 with 3907 views | tractorboy7777 | Regardless of people’s views on Leeds, this is absolutely shocking. We’ve seen first hand the poor standards but this must top the lot!

Don’t want to bite if you’re joking but you’ve got to be kidding right? In no way was he impeded, if anything he pushed the Leeds player off balance which caused the fall! You’d accept that booking was fair if it was us? [Post edited 19 Jan 2019 17:50]

Referees - Leeds Ref on 17:57 - Jan 19 with 3718 views | Nthsuffolkblue | I think the ref is claiming that after he stumbled and fell, he attempted to trip the player with his hand. Can't see it from that footage at all and the reaction of the Leeds players suggests they couldn't see it like that either.

Looks to me like when he goes down he tries to clip him. The player sent off doesn't complain.

I can not see an attempt to bring him down. The player is laughing as he knows the refs made his decision and it’s pathetic.

Looked an awful lot like he pretended to fall and trip the attacker with his arm. If that is right, then the decision was spot on. And its not unreasonable for the ref to have reached that view imo.

Agree. He tried to bring the player down and mucked it up. The fact he failed to make the intended contact doesn’t make it ok and is a nailed on yellow card

At the start of the clip, he’s given a shove which knocks him off balance

Referees - Leeds Ref on 18:57 - Jan 19 with 3406 views | wkj | Its kind of like one of those one where you'd probably see refs give it if a player wasn't on a card, and probably not give it if they were. This ref clearly wasn't of that ilk - also we don't know if the player had a few warnings/last warning from the red prior - I see why it was given [Post edited 19 Jan 2019 18:59]

If that were right he'd fall sideways, not full on stretching out forwards with arms around the striker's legs. Seriously, look at the time gap between the perfectly legitimate shoudler barge and the diving forwards. [Post edited 19 Jan 2019 19:49]

Perhaps not as heavy as a shove but there’s definitely a nudge that knocks his balance. Watch his legs and upper body straight after the nudge, they’re never looking like someone in control. He’s trying to stay up but his balance isn’t there. I’d be furious if the ref gave that against us

Not buying it. Refs judgment is reasonable. Could be wrong, but on balance of proabbilities- thats an attempt to bring the attacker down. He regains his balance from a legitimate shoulder barge, then dives forwards.

Doesn’t complain? Has someone hacked your account? Are you pissed? Most ridiculous decision you’ll see for the next 10 years.

The player sent off doesn't complain. Looks like quite a lot of people think it was a perfectly reasonable decision.

On the subject of refs , did anyone see the Boro penalty versus Millwall, very similar to the one they got against us up there. Hugill wins another weak one , that Keith Stroud is only too happy to give in the last minute. How we could do with some of those decisions going our way or a forward like Hugill to win them.
