I just picked the most famous examples, not sure why that plays a part? Lesser players aren't noticed when out for so long but they usually still come back.
Bowditch would be a good closer to home examples with that many injuries but still had a good career. He was written off here but look up how many games he played after he left us | |

It's one of those where he just needs to get back and get lucky without suffering a breakdown. Bishop was similar but he now looks to be over it.
Lankester is a loss but will benefit from a break anyway. The down side is it either means Judge will have to continue to be a winger, or we bring back in Gwion Edwards, and we look forward to the ball cannoning off him every time he touches it. |  |
