First Tory resignation of the day - Nigel Adams on 09:48 - Apr 3 by Swansea_Blue
Not a big name, but cabinet nonetheless. Like all 'hard' brexiteers, he knows how to run away when it gets tough. Boris will be proud.
How is being true to the electorate running away? What May is now describing is not BREXIT and we might as well remain if this is the only thing on offer.

It's a bit odd to ignore and demonise someone as being a disaster for the country for a few years and then expect them to accept him as a saviour.
I don't see how May and JC can reach an agreement though, their positions are entrenched and conflicting. Unless one of them moves a very long way there doesn't seem to be enough overlap on the good old Venn diagram.

Seems you need another reminder.
Thank you for reinforcing what I said, the option was remain or leave. Where does it say on there Leave means staying in the EU, surely you are not that stupid?

Of course they won't be able to reach an agreement, but when they don't TM the PM will pass the buck for Brexit failure on to Corbyn.

Where does it say leave the customs union or the single market? It's a rather nebulous choice wouldn't you agree.
Specifics would have been nice. What does "Leave the EU" actually mean?

Where does it define Leave at all? Where did anybody give an official working definition of the term during the campaign?
To say that May's WA 'is not Brexit' is disingenuous. It specifies leaving the European Union. Thus it entirely fulfils a vote to leave the European Union.

As you are fully aware, Leave means leaving the customs union and other institutions so that we can have trade deals with the whole world.
Why am I fully aware of it?
Where does it say it?
We already had trade deals with 50 countries through the EU. How long is it going to take to get that many? Why will they be better when we are coming from a weaker position.
It's all total nonsense as I am sure you are fully aware.

'Leave the EU' means leave the customs union, leave the single market, leave all EU mechanisms and institutions. Its ridiculous that people are trying to claim otherwise.

According to those leading the remain campaign at the time, this...
The leave campaign also pushed the one of the benefits of leaving the EU as being that the UK could agree it's own bilateral trade agreements, which cannot be done if you are a member of the customs union.
Another was control of borders and ending freedom of movement, which again is incompatible with single market and custom union membership.
Whether you agree with leaving the EU or not it was made very clear that leaving the EU mean leaving the single market and customs union.

What else could 'leave the EU' possibly mean? It didn't say leave but stay in a few bits. It was leave or remain, i.e. leave everything or stay in everything. The public chose leave everything so we should leave everything. Some desperate remain types have gradually drip fed in staying in some of the mechanisms of the failed institution and have muddled the waters sufficiently that some people have lost sight of what the actual question was.

Do not present facts, Stokie and the others are so brainwashed by the Liberal elite that they now all have very selective memories.

Actually, I think you have a fair point about a Custom's Union, although it could be argued that it would be a fair compromise given a very close referendum result.
May's deal is Brexit though, to argue otherwise is idiotic.
And you've definitely got it arse about face regarding which side is being brainwashed.

SM and CU are pretty integral to the EU.
So why didn't they take an offer which excluded those when it was on the table?

No, it doesn't.
The refusal (or inability) to understand this basic point has led to the past 3 years of nonsense and made an acceptable Brexit deal impossible.

We can play this game all day.
Leave campaigners during the referendum promised that we wouldn’t leave the Single Market. So why are they saying there's a mandate now? pic.twitter.com/kJOtmxm9HL
But it's ridiculously pathetic to have to do so. It is not possible for any sensible person to argue that the mechanism for leaving the EU was defined by the time we voted in the referendum. Simply not possible, because it wasn't. End of. Balls. Move on.
