We sang a song last night to the tune of 'Dirty old Town'.

Anybody get the lyrics? I couldn't make it out.

No, but:

Every Saturday they follow
The green and yellow scum
They all shag their sisters, and go down on their mums
They've never conquered Europe
They've no trophies at all
They are Norwich City
And they've never won f*ck all

"We met our love, at the end of Paul Jewell

Dreamed a dream, get promoted we shall

Then Mick left, cos our owner's a fool

Now we are down, now we are down"

It's about Salford so of course Salford City sing it - but I think there could be some scope to adapt it further

I met my love down at Portman Road
Dreamed a dream by the old Orwell
Kissed my girl by the North Stand wall
We are the Town, Ipswich Town

Another little Blue Action ditty. After much deliberation, we agreed on this version:

I met my love, by the Wolsey Gate
Dreamed a dream, of the old Orwell
And I kissed my girl, by the Ransomes works
We're Ipswich Town, we're Ipswich Town

This is our club, belongs to you and me
We are Ipswich, Ipswich Town FC
And we'll never grow old, and we'll never feel down
We're Ipswich Town
(Repeat second verse)

Been giving it an airing last few games, we'll stick the lyrics on the socials soon enough...

Not a real title?
Maybe not but what is the value of that Not a real title?

Historically, when people in English football refer to "Title winners" they mean the top division. Sure, you get a trophy when you win the second division and we've done that in my lifetime but I think you know what I'm getting at.
