The dragonfly nymph/dragonfly.

.....the jaws of your garden pond where it spends several years before emerging for a matter of weeks. They would be well advised to stay in their ponds for now! (As I should have stayed in my bed this morning)

It means you’re nothing more than a common criminal.

I was looking forward to the Dragonfly too

Point of order, the dragon fly is an insect but the dragonfly nymph is no more an insect than the dragonfly egg.

Crikey this is stressful....was unsure on that technical detail hence referencing both. (new link now provided but you have to click it rather than seeing a jpg here.)

At least you've stopped trying to fob us off with day-old insects now.

Btw, as a favour to me, could you avoid the praying mantis? It holds a special significance for me and seeing one brings back all sorts of memories.

Thanks in advance,

What exactly is going on there?

Is it one of those trapeze type acts hoping to get on BGT?

After about 3 years of being jaws in the pond the nymph has emerged, attatched itself to the grass and metamorphosed into the emerging dragongly.
By the way this is the jpg link that was causing a hotlink warning message on at least one person's device....after pms neither of us are any the wiser as to why!

That's not normal. But then neither is childbirth.

Reproduction is just weird all round.

Things coming out of eggs, little people coming out of other people.

It's all wrong.
