When it looked like our best LB in Knudsen would be going leaving the second choice Kenlock as our only option we signed another LB in Elder.
I know that at that stage PL must have known little about Nydam with him being away on loan but he certainly wasn't seen as our back up LB then. |  | | |

Think slight issue is the U23s squad is going to be relatively weak - as well as they did last year we have already seen a number of players graduate and therefore there isn’t a lot of players there banging on the door like there was - none are even back early with the squad it seems | |

Doesn't the window close within a week of the start of the season or is it different for loans/lower divisions?
I think we really need to go with a squad in the low 20s and be flexible with systems/players as needed. We have had too much with chopping and changing players for too long now. However, that does require players to stay fit. |  |

I agree most of our squad are (or certainly should be) good enough for this level.
We have got a few that are above this level, although they rarely proved that last season and others that have already done well at this level so adding that to younger players that should be improving we do have a pretty good squad-for this level. | | | |

Another keeper if Bart leaves. I suspect Milwall/we will find a compromise and the deal will go through.
Suspect one additional defender who can cover CB and FB.
One, possibly two forwards, but only if Roberts is moved on.
I suspect we will not add any midfielders unless we move one or two on - the squad is still a bit unbalanced with lots of central options and less out wide.
We already have 23 in the first team squad so cannot imagine we will be increasing the squad size by any more than one or two from here.
The U23s will likely be a youngish side with a few more U18s than we have seen in recent seasons. Not a big deal as you want to test your better younger players out against older/better players | | | |

Height is an issue throughout our squad. We have 2 6 footers in the likely starting 11 of outfield players. Mick would do his nut with that! | |
