It isn't just quantity though, is it? They have spent a lot on each of them because there is quality there too. However, that sort of wholesale change takes time to mould into a team. Starting poorly may well leave them struggling to catch up and a big squad of players expecting to play may not go well for them. | |

Didn't Bournemouth do something fairly similar when they went up (the season they bought Mings wasn't it?)? Obviously transfer fees were lower at that time. Didn't work out too badly for them either. | |

They lost a lot of players at the end of last season and at least £20m has been spent on making Hause and Mings loans permanent. |  |
