Am I a bad parent? 20:42 - Sep 27 with 2131 viewssparks

Just spent 15 minutes teaching my 9 year old to pick padlocks...

Yes, teaching them how do use an electric key reading device for pinching cars with keyless entry would be much more profitable for them in the future

I would say that is more constructive than most 9 year olds that focus on picking noses

Because those combination types are a nightmare.

Truth.

Mum does the maths...

Lockpicking is intriguing fun.

She failed but shes going to have another go in the morning.

There’s no problem with her learning how to pick locks, as long as she prays for redemption after any breaking and entering. I think that’s how it works.

In what way would any kind of prayer be a relevant consideration?

You weren't doing this in the Soho area perchance?

True story - I got back to my locker at the gym tonight to see, with horror, that the lock had been removed (somehow). The weirdest thing is nothing was stolen. Wallet with credit cards and cash still there, expensive leather jacket and DMs.

It seems like someone took the trouble to pick my lock... only to steal the lock. I'm grateful... but baffled.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

Maybe they felt sorry for you after seeing your wallet only contained a crumpled fiver and an out of date condom?

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

How dare you! What would Bully's child want with an out of date condom?!

Also, when I first read "crumpled" I read "crumpet"... and now I fancy a crumpet.

A crumpet in a wallet would be very interesting,

Please tell us that the backpack was stolen?

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.
