Best band ever/body of work.... on 12:09 - Oct 31 by Marshalls_Mullet
I used to love their music, then I saw them in an interview and they came across as tw4ts. That took the edge off their music for me.
They've had periods where they've come across as painfully aloof and introverted, full of their own self importance, but Nicky Wire in particular is a really nice guy. They seem to lurch between being furious at the world and utterly melancholic.

On personal taste I’d say Single Mothers. Very varied and big back catalogue for a band going 10 years.
On a wider music and general input to music level I’d have to say Nirvana or Sabbath.
Side note: The Smiths were gash before Morrissey went full Brexit and their only good song was covered better by Tatu.

Sabbath have probably influenced more of the music i like than any other band. Can't escape the fact that their music after ozzy, indeed in the later ozzy albums, was sh1te though.
