1. introduced the n.h.s. which was a life saver for my sister when she contracted polio in the mid 1950s
2. the wefare state e.g. pensions, family allowance, sick pay etc
3.carers and attendance allowance which was a god send for the seriously ill and disabled and their family who looked after them
4. the min. wage
5 outlawed racial discrimination .
6. equal pay
7.seat belts, drink driving,no smoking in pubs, abolished death penalty, legalised homosexuality,banned fox hunting, started the open uni
i know these were in past but would continue under labour. most of the above were opposed by the tories and the right wing press
was going to list some of the social things the tories have done, but making people work longer before a state pension, universal credits are not pluses
take away from the poor and leave the rich alone |  |
