Well...I have voted 11:34 - Dec 12 with 2146 views | homer_123 | In the end....decided to ignore the leaders and vote on the party with the policies I'm most aligned with. It's an utterly wasted vote though...sadly.

Well...I have voted on 11:37 - Dec 12 with 1776 views | itfcjoe | I've voted against the Tories as feel they are taking the country in a direction that I cannot sign up for. But, like you a wasted vote. I voted tactically as LDs are nowhere in my constituency. But there is a 17k majority and next to zero chance of overturning it. I will have a clear conscience though.

Likewise no chance of anything but an ugly shade of blue winning here in South Suffolk but will give it a go regardless.

Well...I have voted on 12:23 - Dec 12 with 1620 views | Oldsmoker | Off to the church hall in the next hour. Interesting fact - Boris Johnson didn't vote for himself. He chose to vote at Westminster Hall which is closer to Downing St. than West Ruislip and Uxbridge. His constituency is still part of Greater London and is at the west end of the central line. He has a majority of 5,000ish so you'd think he needs every vote. He's either over-confident or a total idiot. I think it's the latter.

The answer to that depends on who you voted for rather than how

Well...I have voted on 12:25 - Dec 12 with 1608 views | Pinewoodblue | Cast my vote in a deserted polling station, apart from the two young ladies in charge. Popped into the Co-op next door a purchased a ‘set for life’ lottery ticket for tonight. Both a waste of time, or money. The only people set for life today are the 650 MPs who will take their seats next week.

What happens if that happens? He gets parachuted into an alternative seat?

A possibility, albeit quite unlikely*, is that he could make himself a lord and rule that way. *This is boris though, so who knows. [Post edited 12 Dec 2019 12:27]

Well firstly we laugh. Then it's likely a Tory in a safe seat will have to resign and then there will be a bi-election but that takes time. So I guess in between we have a party and possibly country run by the deputy? There is a serious question to be answered that if he can't even win his own seat how can he be PM. SB

Would be hilarious and a rather sad indictment of the current political system. [Post edited 12 Dec 2019 12:30]

I have been half arsedly predicting that this week, I bet a fair few people with no voting intention might well do it for a laugh. If only the reincarnation of Buckethead, Count Binface, went up against him and won, that would be the funniest thing in the world.

The queues at 7am were pretty large this morning too. I think this turnout is going to make poll makers nervous. As I said to Stokie this morning, for many it seems like this is not just a GE but the unofficial second Brexit referendum, so, maybe some young voices who could not vote in the referendum are eagre to have their say on that one way or the other. Did you pay attention to the general demographic of people in line?

In our Polling Station I was the youngest there and I'm a grandmother! I would like to think the younger generation are at work and will vote later.
