He will want to stay largely unchanged after a positive blip last week but the starting line up looked shaky with the non footballer at right wing back. The switch to 4-4-2 and then 4-3-3 brought benefits but it isn't easy to do with our players and means another change.
If he is going 4 at the back then it has to be Donacien and if he is going with a 5 with Edwards then Chambers has to be next to him to cover.
4 at the back means judge out wide but 1 up top means lumping to Jackson or lumping to a wandering Keane.

3-5-2 again, I reckon. Would hope Edwards/Woolfenden have sorted out how to defend against a wide left attacker with a supporting full back as Burton were murdering us for the first 15m or so last week.
I'd prefer Donacien myself, but it’ll be Edwards.
I’d put Chambers on the right of the 3 if needs be, but then you lose Wolfenden going forward.

i always thought 433 allowed more possession in midfield as the 3 play fairly central and dominate the other sides 2.
With the two wide men upfront making angles so that they become midfielders / forwards.
Just my view.
I guess you need liverpool's front 6 to make that work well. |  |
