Brady, Sir Graham, chair of the 1922 committee (C) 09:12 - May 5 with 587 views | artsbossbeard | From The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/may/04/uk-unions-criticise-guidance-on- He's calling for the removal of “arbitrary rules and limitations on freedom as quickly as possible” and suggesting the public had been “a little too willing to stay at home”. He's not a lone voice either. Also, social media seems to be awash with people moaning about how busy some places are now without even a hint of irony.

The main point seems to be look, we've tried looking after the health of the vulnerable for a while and that's great, but it's actually quite boring, and it isn't helping the value of my pension fund one bit. I think we're heading for quite choppy waters, where the lockdown slips to an extent that we aren't able to get daily new infections down to a level where SERCO, Deliotte and Cambridge Analytica or whoever we've contracted it out to can keep us safe with their track & trace infrastructure.
Brady, Sir Graham, chair of the 1922 committee (C) on 09:28 - May 5 with 532 views | ElephantintheRoom | I would imagine its rather nice to be with your family on a full salary for seven weeks. If on the other hand your livelihood and/or job have long evaporated then I suspect you have a different persepctive. Maybe that nice Sir G has a point of sorts... there are all sorts of inconsisitencies in our way too-late, pretend lockdown that has failed so disastrously. The myth of social distancing for example.... WHO says 1 metre is fine.... it all depends what 'science' the politicos want to follow. Some people seem anxious to fly.... and I'm sure some might even want to book a cruise. But as many respected scientists have already pointed out... people are no more likely to get this virus at work than they are a a supermarket. It's not rocket science.
