Surprisingly for her, she's doing a lot better than the herberts who've been on lately.
At least she keeps repeating the message that we shouldn't be looking to travel and that FO advice is for essential foreign travel only (no holidays). Vallance backing her up emphasising this is for the long haul.
This goes some way to getting back on top of the key cultural messages to take this seriously and still adhere to guidelines minimising contact and travel.
Vallance could have further emphasised his message that we're only just lowering the infection rate; it's a very slow decline in many regions. | |

Not even the slightest attempt to answer and no chance for the journalist to come back.
I know they’ve all been media trained to waffle rather than answer but can they really not see how badly this is playing with the public?
These press conferences are meant to be to inform the public but they treat them as something to survive without actually saying anything, like it’s a Paxman interview. (I would have said Neil but we all know they don’t have the bottle to even turn up to those). | | | |
