I manage a veterans team (35 and over) and we are looking for a competent keeper if anyone is interested in playing next season.
Matches are 2pm on Sunday. Usually 1 or 2 matches per month depending on progress in the cups. Home games are at Gainsborough.
We've got a decent side but have struggled due to not having a regular keeper for a couple of seasons. We dominate matches, have 7 or 8 chances, score a couple and the other side have 5 or 6 chances and score them all. We've had a selection of players helping out in goal whilst every other team has a proper keeper.
Likely to be in Division 3 or 4 next season out of the 6 divisions, so the standard is reasonable enough. Usually a couple of terrible teams made of much older players and a couple of great teams rising though the leagues having started up recently.
We've made some excellent signings with a few mates just turning 35 but the keeper situation is a nightmare, so if anyone is one or knows one please let me know!
