I've got a friend who used to work in a Glasgow record shop and is exactly like the Jack Black character in High Fidelity who disses everyone else's music tastes. He listens almost exclusively to Mazzy Star and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

David Roback, the other half of Mazzy Star sadly died earlier this year. They last did an album in 2013 which is as lovely as you would expect. Hope's done a few records with Colm who was drummer for My Bloody Valentine

She's made some really lovely records with Massive attack fairly recently. Songs rather than albums.
