Optimism? 11:54 - Oct 28 with 665 views | abracaDOBRA_ | Does anyone else think when or if we sort our attack out, we could be onto something really good? So much possession in last 2 games, but didn't do too much with it and missed some great chances. Once we get the injured lads back, Jackson in particular, I could see us being quite a good side. If we can keep on dominating the ball, and start creating more chances I think we'll be fine. I think we forget that our striker injuries have been awful. Obviously not just down to that, but Jackson, Norwood and Drinan back could really help us out. Anyone else?

We need more cutting edge and we still have it to come back. While last season we deteriorated I think we have it in us to improve considerably this time.

I agree on 12:01 - Oct 28 with 620 views | Dyland | With the usual caveats regarding Lambert's selection and man management. No doubt we'd be better with our goal scorers fit, obviously :) EDIT: plus Downes and KVY. [Post edited 28 Oct 2020 12:01]

I know its probably stating the obvious but think injuries have had a huge effect on our performances. Particularly Downes who just makes us 10 x better. No wonder our attack has been disjointed when we've had 1 option up top for the majority of games. I think we've done well considering the injuries we've had to deal with.

Worth pointing out that even with the personnel issues we're the joint-second top scorers in the division.
Optimism? on 12:32 - Oct 28 with 543 views | Chrisd | Not for me just yet. It's those types of games, like last night, that I'm expecting more from us and once again I'm underwhelmed, perhaps I'm expecting too much? Gillingham you can assume will finish around mid table, was there much difference between us and them over the course of that 90 mins? Not really and this seems to happen quite regularly. Then, when we come up against one of the better sides we are invariably second best and easily contained. I'm also concerned about our mentality and resilience, soon as we go behind I've little confidence we can get back in a game, we seem to be relying on ourselves to get that first goal, but that isn't always going to materialise. There still remains plenty of unanswered questions and yes the injuries probably haven't helped, but you could also argue that out of those that are injured or suspended there's probably only KVY and Downes that are key players. Optimism? on 12:47 - Oct 28 with 517 views | nodge_blue | I thought first half we did all the stuff people have been wanting to see. Plenty of good possession. Passing through the midfield. Limited hoofing. There was a slightly more fluency than at sometimes this year when it has looked as if players are not doing it naturally and hence its all been ponderous. We do need something better up front. It needs pace. Look at Liverpools front 3....all fast.
