Looks like a deal with the EU is getting very close (n/t) on 06:42 - Nov 21 with 2822 views | gordon | I think perhaps Liz Hurley summed up the inspiration behind Brexit best: “If it means we can go back to using decent lightbulbs and choose high-powered hairdryers and vacuum cleaners if we so wish, I’m joining Brexit for sure.”

Surely with most people getting concerned about no deal, and all of the chaos that would ensue, rage prospect of a deal is very good news. I thought that everybody everybody had excepted we had left the EU, despite their own view in the matter and that it was important we got a dea?

As I said it is a long waybfrom being a deal though, I is virtually no deal. See my rules of origin post, that wouldn't have been relevant under the May deal

I mean, it’s better than nothing and will be something of a relief but it’s still an unprecedented act of national self harm, hardly cause for celebration.

Nah, I dish out arrows where they're due. He accused me of "presumably" down arrowing most of what he says, but if he looked I actually give him up-arrows occasionally. Strange but true.

Looks like a deal with the EU is getting very close (n/t) on 08:29 - Nov 21 with 2676 views | DanTheMan | Devil is in the detail but I'd obviously be much happier with a deal as opposed to no deal, especially given everything else that is going on. As others have mentioned though, it doesn't really feel like something worth celebrating. Like we've chopped off a leg and now celebrating that we're getting a peg leg. [Post edited 21 Nov 2020 8:31]

It's the least worst of the outcomes which are available at this time. Amazing how things progress once a toxic influence is removed from the picture. Shame Cummings didn't get the boot 6 months ago. SB

Who’s celebrating. No deal would be a disaster. A deal looks imminent. That’s all I posted.

My understanding is that the deal is very close to no deal. I think it would be similar to a business spending fortunes in legal fees while trying to do a deal with the biggest customer in their industry. At the end of it the deal collapsed but a deal was struck to buy their old waste paper bin off them for £2 They then announce a deal to the share holders with the biggest customer in the industry. Sadly the details says it cost the £2 and millions in legal fess and didn't generate any revenue [Post edited 21 Nov 2020 8:42]

Boris' supporters - 'he's done it, the EU have caved in, three cheers for Boris' ERGers/UKIPpers/Faragists - 'this isn't Brexit, we've sold out to the elitist EU' Remainers - 'we'll still be worse off, where are the promised sunlit uplands' Exporters/importers - 'will someone please tell us what the feck is going on, we've only got 5 weeks to get ready' I think that just about covers it. Anything else?

So you missed the numerous posts in between where I have stated that I was wrong to vote leave, that the cooperative and mutual respectful Brexit with the benefits of opening immigration to more people from outside the EU has been highjacked by swivel eyed loons and nutters? I mean, I posted all of the above several times over the past couple of years and you replied to some of those threads.

Think you need to save that and add it to every tedious post on the subject. Suspect there will plenty of them once the full details are known. Hopefully it will stop a few threads before they turn to 10 pagers. Cannot see anyone posting anything original on the subject,

No. Because as a man of Jewish heritage with a wife from a Jewish family, who was berated by certain posters a a smear merchant, had articles and photos about my then seven year old son shared about in a campaign to discredit me as some "far right pro Israel loon" and told he was using his family as a flag of convenience when I said that the Labour party was institutionally antisemitic and Corbyn was unfit to become the leader of our country, I felt vindicated by the EHRC report. I don't have any personal or emotional investment to Brexit. I voted for it and in hindsight honestly wish that I hadn't. No more and no less.

Lol at cooperative and mutual respectful Brexit. The leaders of the Brexit campaign are now running the UK government - did they hijack Brexit from themselves?

No more no less. What boIIocks. You spent nine months stomping around this board shouting down anyone who had the misfortune to engage with you on the subject of brexit, bellowing ‘project fear’ at anybody who suggested anything like the current situation might come to pass. Feebly attempting to put distance between yourself and the swivel eyed lions doesn’t cut it. You are one of them. You own this. Vindicated blue my arse.
