Was going to say similar, in fairness to him I thought that was fairly well delivered, had the right tone, and avoided the need for jokes.
But the point about timing is absolutely right, why on earth did schools go back today, for one last go at sharing the virus around?!
He must have had his arms tied down to stop the annoying gestures, he actually looked a lot healthier too. Was the best of the statements so far as felt most realistic

One press conference without Cummings and he actually appears slightly prime ministerial? Remarkable. He even our caveats in place instead of over-promising.
Now just to sort out his time delay as the next priority. This should have been announced for Boxing Day, not now.

"One press conference without Cummings and he actually appears slightly prime ministerial?"
Let's not over-egg it. Some of it was still incredibly blustery and I got a nose full of bullsh!t on a couple of occasions. His best statement so far but as Stokie says, it's an incredibly low bar he's set.

It was scripted and on autocue. Still a useless prick.

It is worse when Boris tries to go into detail as he ends up confusing everyone.
Starmer is on Sky now and he looks a bit rough which is surprising.
The only major concern I have is on the ability to vaccinate all in at risk categories as we will have to vaccinate more than 2,000,000 a week. We will have to ramp up production of the AstraZeneca vaccine, especially the batch preparation as the plant in Wrexham can only send out 150,000 doses a day. We will be looking for help with supplies from Holland Germany, and possibly even India.
Whatever the reason for it happening the failure to stockpile the promised vaccine, ahead of approval being granted, could be costly in lives.

Yep, I liked the bit about every day at school is important, cited as a reason for holding off on a national shutdown, during an exponentially growing outbreak.

Yep, that one day back today could be the difference between those kids becoming neurosurgeons or flipping burgers in McDonald's. Really courageous of him to ignore all the evidence to make sure those kids got that one day in school, despite the likelihood of it spreading the virus still further. That's leadership.

I feel sorry for the youngsters who went to bed tonight looking forward to going to school tomorrow.

It's essentially the Boris equivalent of a last minute 2-1 win away at Plymouth, against 10 men.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

A dog egg.
Pronouns: He/Him/His.
