Got my vaccination date this afternoon 17:19 - Feb 14 with 2550 views | Pendejo | Received a text with a link to online booking, duly booked for 24th with a nearby medical centre... Then realised I have a job interview same day, albeit 4 hours later. Oh the benefits of a long term medical condition.

Got my vaccination date this afternoon on 17:23 - Feb 14 with 2237 views | Churchman | My sister had a booking for today and realised she wouldn’t be able to make it. She managed to rebook for next Friday, so if you can’t make it, I’m sure you’ll get a date soon after. They seem pretty organised to be fair.

Must congratulate who ever is in charge of the vaccine roll out, with everything else seeming quite a farce over the past year, the vaccine seems like a very well planned roll out.

Thanks, I'll block out my diary for 25th and 26th. Not knowingly had covid, unless it was so minor I didn't notice...

It's mainly because it's been organised via established NHS routes of communication and supply rather than one of Boris' mates. If it had been in the hands of the Efficient Private Sector the country would have been billed £47bn to give saline injections to a couple of pensioners in Henley.

I think it just varies person to person. My dad had the Pfizer one, was left with a bit of arm ache for the rest of the day and was fine the following day.

Don't know, gonna be a surprise. Given proximity to Peckham it'll be the Trotter version

Certainly seems to depend to an extent on how severe you've had covid, if you've had it previously as the mRNA protein seems to stimulate a smaller version of the cytokine storm seen in full-blown covid. That's the working theory of one my consultants, anyway.

Yep, I had no side effects whatsoever (from the AZ), not even arm-ache! My tenant, who's early 40s & a key worker, had hang-over like effects for a day; said her younger (20s & 30s) colleagues had hangover-like symptoms for 2-3 days.

The only side effect I'm looking forward to is getting a better 5G signal.

My mother had a similar issue (transport availability at that time) and her appointment was shifted to later in the day with no problem. Said it was very efficient.

I suspect that’s right. My old man reckoned he was wiped out for 3 days after the Covid jab. He sometimes reacts to the flu, sometimes not. It’s probably highly variable. And no side effects I’ve heard about are even close to having mild covid, so that puts all the attention side effects get into perspective. It’ll be good once they roll the flu & covid into one (not sure if one jab or two at the same time, but that’s the plan).

Got my vaccination date this afternoon on 19:05 - Feb 14 with 1883 views | Ace_High1 | Well done, had mine a week ago. Felt a little under the weather the day after (sore arm, muscles ached, slight headache, little bit hot/cold) but all cleared up within 36 hours of having the jab.
