I think it is highly unlikely. If he wants him enough Evans will make him a very generous offer on a long term contract that will set him up for life.

He's not going to decline if it's offered.
It seems fairly clear from his statements in the press and his turning down of multiple Championship jobs that he thought something like this was on the cards.
Given that there will be NDA's in place on the takeover (not to mention it's just a bit off to comment on it whilst it's underway) and Lambert only left yesterday this board has been manic today.

Lambert didn't really give much away either. He said if there's a takeover, he'd 99.9% gone. He didn't say there definitely is one.
