One thing I'll credit Cook for... 22:50 - Mar 16 with 846 viewspointofblue

His post match conferences at least make sense.

Hes not slating the players, but admits the cleaners at the ground could get a game after that performance lol

It's a bit of shame then, that a lot of people are reacting like toddlers tonight.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Yep, huge sense.
He says tonight's performance was awful.
He says we have to get used to other clubs seeing us as a prize scalp.
He doesn't criticise players in public, even if they've had a stinker.
He sees a losing mentality, going back to the dismal relegation & the failures to bounce back last season & this. I don't think this is going to change until after a huge clear out in the summer.

I disagree with his assessment of us being inconsistent as u would say we have been consistently poor all season

He hits the nail on the head time and again. Still convinced he’s the right man for us. I honestly feel that if he can’t sort us out then no one can and things must be rotten to the core.

He’s got a busy summer ahead.

I have to admit I over-react after a defeat, though I think some of my points apply.

What used to happen is Lambert would come along and wind me up further with his ridiculous post match comments. In comparison I am at least satisfied Cook sees the same issues, even though I don't think 4-2-3-1 works for the players we have at our disposal.

We're still just outside the play offs & were in them when Cook arrived & I don't think he wants to publicly slate the players.

Thing is point

Cooks success as a manager so far has been with a formation that he knows. Hes worked with it. He knows what he wants for it to work etc. I think personally he will be shocked by how bad our lads are when it comes to matchdays.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Exactly. It's so refreshing to have a manager not treating the supporters like idiots and who doesn't chat utter shoite.

I am right behind Cook.

well just imagine Lambert had said that after a game just recently...infact he almost did once didnt he saying he'd play the u23s next time ? yet somehow I doubt it would have gone down so well as a joke.

Yep says the right things.

Exactly as every manager does according to this forum, when they first come in.

Go back and look at people complimenting the way Hurst and Lambert spoke when they first came in.

The common trend though is none of them have shown enough in terms of actual on field management. Cook has time on his side thank god as he's only been in charge 4 games but I'm yet to see a pre or during match tactical decision substitution or simple change of shape or even a half time rocket up the bum effect as of yet.

Very much sceptical.
