We have four CBs and four CMs (plus Humphreys), for two positions in each case. We don't strictly need any more of them.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

We definitely need 1 x LB, 1 x CM and 1 x LW (as Chaplin, Dobra and Fraser can all play here). The other two would be nice but not essential, in my opinion.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

I think we only need 22 players plus youths like Humphries to come in. Just the left-back and another midfielder will do.

Remember there is a proper backroom team now instead of the shambles we had before, so although injuries are inevitable and often unavoidable, we should be able to manage and reduce them much more now. No more players carrying on playing while they are injured, or being sent for an operation about 3 months after the injury hopefully.
