Friend of mines looking to hire a box for his dad’s 70th. He’s got the brochure from the club for hospitality but comes up very expensive. Anyone no of a box that can be hired private please ?

Has he called the corporate sales team? From experience, it is worth calling the club and negotiating the price, they have a number that are vacant (especially in the cobbold standard) and depending on match will be keen to fill them.

Don’t bother with a box in the Cobbold. Not worth the money at all.

Better value is sponsor a Man of the Match or something and get 2 tickets thrown in, meal etc in the SBR Suite.

You’ll also get a signed shirt and other souvenirs of the day

Yes or Sir Alf behind the goal - £50 for the cheapest seat in there and you get the player of the match ceremony after and padded seats behind the goal

Agreed. Cobbold boxes are very dated, and it's a strange way to watch football behind glass with people potentially standing in front of you!

I think all the Coop boxes are gone but there might be one you can get if you sponsor the game - that won't be cheap but worth asking. Otherwise, there's the Premier Lounge where you can have a nice meal and then seats in the Directors Box, or, as EG says, the SBR suite and seats which is decent.
