I know I have read stories about comfort pets on planes for a while but had never seen them.
On our flight to Colombia some people close to us had a French Bulldog type thing in a bag, ugly ass thing with no hair.
Then on an internal flight today we saw another dog and a cat, looking a little distressed, in a clear back pack.
Just seemed strange to me, but as long as the right protocols are employed no problem.

I remember reading a few years back about a plane crashing somewhere in Africa. The sole survivor claims that someone, somehow smuggled a crocodile on board which managed to free itself. I remember reading a few years back about a plane crashing somewhere in Africa. The sole survivor claims that someone, somehow smuggled a crocodile on board which managed to free itself. In the panic everyone on board rushed to one side of the plane causing it to lose its balance and crash. |
That is a hazard not just confined to escaping crocs. A few years back a colleague and I were on a connecting flight from Washington to Roanoke. Unfortunately there was a number of obese Americans on board who were reseated by the cabin staff to ensure equal weight distribution. We both ended up squeezed in next to sweaty 30 stone locals.
