Wow, that is bad:

"The forward suffered serious injuries that will require surgery following the incident."

I can't think of anything that would compare. Nothing that any other player got up to off the pitch (aside from RTAs) had as serious consequences on an opposition player did it? Of course, it is also simply an allegation at the moment.
