It's definitely a strange one, they seem to stick a few fans in there, do they have disabilities, what's the story there?

Edit: It looks like the poster below is saying it's the disabled section

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Isn't that the disabled section for away fans?

I'm pretty sure the disabled fans are located in the Magnus Stand next to the tunnel. I thought the lower tier was the family section.

Seem to remember the last time we gave that section to the away fans, they couldn’t behave themselves.

Yes, I think it must be a security issue. But why not make it a family or OAP section for away fans, if that is the case.

It's in case we need the ball back.

Similar to most clubs nowadays, we do not sell the first few rows of the upper tier.. Again, a secuity/crowd management thing.

It is used for ambulant disabled away fans. When we opened it up to families, so many decided to stand that the view from the Cobbold boxes behind that section was obscured.

Think back to when we played West Ham in the playoffs

Not only did they have that section, they also had a chunk of seats in the churchmans lower!

It does seem that a capacity crowd was recorded as 28,434 because a large number of seats were not made available for sale. That section being the most obvious of them. As commented above, even more strange to have half a dozen Pompey fans in them.

Because they should pay for their seats like everyone else in the stadium!

Problems with Charlton last game of last season, who ended up pelting their own fans with seats
