Maybe some of that increase was the extra costs associated with COVID. The Tories are past masters of misrepresenting figures.
One of the major problems with ambulance response times is that ambulances cannot discharge their patients into the hospital as there is a bed shortage caused in the main by lack of care beds ........ caused by some cretins thinking it being a good idea to block the NHS from hiring care workers
There is also the fact of care being in the hands of the grossly inefficient private sector (see rail, water, probation, prison etc where the motive is profit not service) | | | |

Did you see the A&E wait times released earlier this week too? A huge increase this year of people waiting over 12 hours, building on an already deteriorating trend. But this year was something else.
