Tete Yengi- what’s the deal here 17:54 - Nov 10 with 2033 viewsTRUE_BLUE123

Been quality on loan it seems. On FM he always goes on loan and bangs them in.

Can anyone shed any light on what he’s like and if he has a future here. He’s 21 so leaving it a bit late.

2022 highlights on Youtube. Not sure what the standard is like but he's certainly athletic and there's some good feet in here from the big man.

You can see why you'd fancy a punt with his physical attributes. Can he go out on loan here in Jan?

Presumably free to play for at least 2 clubs over the course of a season, so we'd certainly be allowed to loan him to another EFL club in January.

Ordinarily, he'd not be allowed to register for 3 clubs in a season (so couldn't play for us and then later go on loan somewhere else), but I don't know if the Finnish leagues different time scales would change that calculation?

His combo of name, height, general appearance and highlight reel which was full of him taking on multiple defenders then belting the ball over the bar from 20 yards instantly granted him 'absolutely must get him in the first team' status in my eyes.

Loan spell seems to have gone well but can't say with any certainty how good the Finnish first division is compared to lower English leagues. Always get the impression these loans to (seemingly) random clubs in European leagues are with the view to help the player more than the club but could be wrong.

Given the situation the club's in you can't help but feel that even if he's returned twice the player he was and goes out and does well in, say, league 2 for half a season, it'll be hard for him to have much of a future here as we'll just buy players further in their development than him. Maybe that's pessimistic but as you allude to he's not a kid like Humphreys or Baggott who we can afford to give 2 or 3 years to grow and still have a young player on our hands.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Bit less traffic for strikers as it stands.

Judging by the state of some of the ‘defending’, looks to be around nation league or national league n/s standard.

Obviously got something about him though, so a loan to a national league side here might not be the worst idea for the seeing half of the season.

Aside from the good feet he's got good composure, ball-retention, awareness and intelligence looking at that video. Hard to tell what sort of stamina or pace he's got from that, and whether he could carry those attributes into a faster, more physical English game, but on the face of it looks very promising to me. He seems to be able to make good decisions late in the tackle, if you know what I mean.

Hopefully KMcK gets a chance to have a good look at him and loan him out to League Two in January, as you say, or if he ticks the physicality boxes, I'd see him as a possible occasional sub for us.
