Saturday 20:37 - Jan 11 with 3728 views | gtsb1966 | I'm unusually quite confident about us winning Saturday and I don't think I'll be sitting there on 80 minutes hoping we can hold on. Comfortable win to surprise us all.

If our players turn, and our fans make it intimidating…. We win on 21:41 - Jan 11 with 3379 views | unstableblue | BUT… we’ll need Ladapo, Chaplin and Burns to really turn it on.. and that hasn’t been the case in every game…. .. additionally our fans make it nervy by waiting to build atmosphere until town getting going…. If these two elements are in Town's favour - we'll win. Plymouth are a bloody good side though, full of confidence and their ‘project’ is a season or two ahead of us! It’s going to be huge [Post edited 11 Jan 2023 22:04]

I think you're slightly dreaming if you think you can beat the table toppers 4-0, and I would suggest you're underestimating Argyle a lot. We aren't top of the table by fluke, we have a very good team, very fast and can damage you if you leave an opportunity which you will. What goes in Argyles favour is you're chasing us, the team no one fancies and of course your history dictating in your heads that you're a big club. It's these things that make Argyle stronger, to beat the "big clubs", but in truth you're only as big as the league you're in and currently you're third best! 4-0, will give you £1000 if that comes true but the clever money is Argyle to win 3-1 😉

Ladapo might well not even get on the pitch.

Saturday on 08:00 - Jan 12 with 2508 views | ElephantintheRoom | Geography is the main factor - it’s a very difficult trip and should be a routine home win - as it was for Plymouth in the reverse fixture. And that win, if and when it happens mean 3 points each over a season.

Saturday on 08:48 - Jan 12 with 2361 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | They draw a lot of away games and we should be favoured here slightly due to being at home. That being said, I know we have shook off a lot of unwanted records/habits this year but a big game like this, I just don't trust Ipswich. Ben Waine one to look out for this weekend for Plymouth, looks very lively. Hopefully our new boys can make an impact, I will say a 1-1 draw.

Saturday on 09:50 - Jan 12 with 2242 views | dirtyboy | The only thing I think we know we'll see this Saturday is a good game. Won't bank on a win, but don't think Plymouth are nailed on either, we were better than them for periods at their place, more shots (just not better ones lol) but they grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck in the final quarter of the game and deserved to win IMO. A draw against the best team in the league isn't a disaster, a loss would really hurt though. Win and it's a huge boost. Just thoroughly looking forward to it as at least it's not like years gone by where it's a turn up and hope for the best as it is winnable, just will be a very tough game against the best team in the league.
Saturday on 10:26 - Jan 12 with 2146 views | BlueySwede | I have a good feeling too, but boy have I been wrong about that many times in the past. As someone else on this forum pointed out in another thread - always treat the opposition with respect. TBF, I do think the current crop of players do. I think it will be a pretty tight game, but we will have most possession and probably dominate general play. In my opinion we have two frailties as a team, defensive lapses (which we have been punished for too often) and inability to turn our superiority into goals (hopefully that will change with our quality additions). If we cut out the mistakes and are a bit more ruthless up front I think we will win Saturday.

"Routine home win as it was for Plymouth". What nonsense, that was not routine, we played well and they got a deflected winner. Why do you even post here, virtually every post you've ever made has been negative. Can't be much fun. SB
